• J. Raviraj, started career, in 1986, on the eve of the “International Year for Shelter for Homeless”. The first project, was a low-cost model dwelling unit, for the Madras Metropolitan Development Authority (now CMDA), who had planned a model lay-out for showcasing low-cost designed roofing systems and buildings, for homeless, in Maduravoyal, near Madras. This project was initiated by the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Hon’ble Thiru M.G. Ramachandran. J. Raviraj founded OMTEC, a civil construction company, in 1988 and executed many civil contract works including Temples, School buildings, Residential bungalows, Ware house, Hotels, Office buildings besides several related civil works.
